Cedar Key is one of the few small towns left on Florida's Gulf Coast that hasn't been completely overwhelmed by "progress". We have no Starbucks, no McDonalds, no martini bars, or nightclubs. We don't have a "spring breaker beach". The closest stoplight is about 30 miles away and once you are on island, you can walk most anywhere you need to go.

What we do have is southern hospitality, fun and interesting people, incredible natural beauty, terrific fishing, awesome kayaking, delectable seafood dining, art galleries, and boutique shops. You will find yourself slipping into island mode pretty quickly.
